We all have an image of our best self. This is the person we'd be if we just weren't so tired, so anxious, so angry or so depressed. I think about my work as the process of helping people to become who they already know they are - or could be. Our work together is to find out why you feel those things in the first place so you can move past them and start feeling happier, more productive and more connected to the life you want.

If you've decided to go to therapy and don't know where to start, I can help. The relationship with your therapist is the most important element in successful therapy.

Professional Background.

Christine received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born in the East coast but mostly grew up in New Orleans where her family continues to reside.  After graduating, she  relocated to California and eventually returned to academia and completed her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at  Western Seminary in Santa Clara, CA, June 2007. Western provided her with specialized training in addition to general graduate level evidence-based therapy  approaches, including how to integrate spiritual principles within various therapeutic approaches.Following graduate studies, Christine completed her internship in San Jose and Santa Cruz. She also received an Addictions Certificate with her masters degree in marriage and family therapy upon completion.

After several years and an academic & professional career, she found herself back in the East Coast again. She lived in Charleston South Carolina for a couple years and after getting engaged moved to North Carolina.  She became fully licensed in the state of North Carolina and held several diverse and unique clinical positions including a child trauma therapist for several years, military family life counselor and starting her own private practice.

Christine is an AAMFT Clinical Fellow, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She holds an LMFT license by the NCMFT board. She is certified and state-rostered in TFCBT, Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Christine is also educated trained and skilled in the Gottman Model for couples therapy.  She has extensive experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Her specialized training areas include Family Systems Therapy, Gottman Couples Method,Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Christine’s most recent specialties particularly are in child trauma and couples therapy. She views child welfare as a family systems level issue – recognizing that adverse experiences in childhood including familial dysfunction are often associated with subsequent emotional issues and substance abuse. She genuinely believes in change and is passionate about being the guiding light for change.

Christine is currently accepting new clients, so feel free to contact us to set up an initial appointment or ask any questions you may have. She is very flexible when it comes to scheduling, and has more available appointment times available than what is listed on his calendar. She can be reached directly via email at
