I was born and raised in the Washington, DC area and proudly embraced my weirdness in Austin, TX for several years with my husband and two pups Monster and Bronco.
I'm an intuitive, Certified Professional Life Coach dedicated to helping you navigate change and live the life you want. I’m a Certified Meditation and Breathwork facilitator who has experienced the power of these modalities firsthand. I’m a social worker, turned project manager and entrepreneur, turned professional life coach. I’ve pivoted my career many times in pursuit of fulfillment, purpose, and growth, navigating many seasons of change and imposter syndrome along the way. Several years ago I made the decision to leave the corporate world to launch a business that brought mindfulness-based workshops and practices to businesses and teams, in order to increase productivity, foster creativity and decrease stress in the workplace. This revealed a deep passion for guiding, coaching and mentoring individuals in becoming the highest version of themselves. I followed the calling to become a professional life coach and I couldn’t be more thrilled and lit up by the work that I do now. It is my joy to walk alongside individuals on their healing journey, providing a safe space to navigate life with its many challenges, joys, losses and successes!
Aside from wearing many creative hats as a writer, podcaster and teacher, I spend as much time as I can exploring new places, trying new food, listening to good music, and keeping my plants alive. Jen is a Certified Professional Life Coach who is passionate about walking alongside and supporting her clients with a person centered and holistic approach. Jen graduated summa cum laude from James Madison University with her Bachelor’s in Social Work, where she was the recipient of the James Madison University Academic Scholar of the Year Award. Jen has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, young adults, women, families and high-achieving professionals, while working in community programs such as inpatient treatment programs, non-profits, transitional housing programs, and rapid re-housing programs.
As a Social Worker in the DC Metro area, Jen has worked to improve the mental wellness of individuals and families facing homelessness and profound challenges. She has partnered with community leaders to implement numerous programs focused on professional development, securing employment, improving literacy and providing free healthcare for homeless women and children. Jen has facilitated and led community-based groups which provide support, education, and resources to those in need.
Aside from her experience as a Social Worker and Life Coach, Jen has a breadth of professional experience to include working as a Performance Analyst, Project Manager, Program Manager and Consultant for start-ups, nonprofits, and private/public sector businesses.
Jen is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Time Management Expert. She has held the role of Technical Project Manager at Whole Foods Market, where she launched Amazon's Prime Now Delivery and Pickup service and developed a mentorship program for the Global Digital Technology Department. Jen is an entrepreneur and the CEO and Founder of Thought Leader, which aims to bring mindfulness to businesses and teams through mindfulness-based workshops and 1:1 coaching.
