About me.

Confidently Independent, Loving Mom, Loyal Friend, Event Planner, Sense Maker, Humor Specialist

I grew up as an analytical, deep-thinking child and teen who many people came to with their struggles.  I felt a calling to this therapeutic field during a mission trip in Costa Rica during my Sophomore year in high school and it really didn't come as too much of a surprise to those who know me best.

I love helping people figure out what is getting in the way of their ultimate life goals, followed up by assisting to come up with an effective plan to overcome and remove those barriers, while taking steps toward reaching that goal.  I am passionate about helping people identify and clarify their specific type of struggle in order to start moving toward relief, healing and a more fulfilling existence.

I grew up in Northern Illinois and after heading off to California for graduate school, I returned to my hometown after graduating to be near family again. I then got married and a few years later had my daughter.  A couple of years after that, life threw me a curve ball, as it so often does to people, and I went through a divorce I never expected.  As devastating as that process is, it gave me a deep personal experience to draw from and help others going through difficult life changes.  It also provided me with a real-life, first-hand experience of seeing something I originally considered to be one of the worst things possible, turn into something that has led to a happier, more fulfilling life.  I love helping others discover that possibility during difficult times.
