Cognitive-Behavioral, Strength-Based, Solution-Focused, And Eclectic Theories

Have you made your wellness a priority? Have you taken the time to nurture your relationships and engage in self-care?  When life gets busy, we tend to put wellness, self-care, and relationships on the back burner.  However, you are important!  I can assist you with exploring those obstacles and challenges that keep you from feeling the balance that you deserve.

I believe in relationships!  I focus on building rapport and establishing therapeutic relationships in order to inspire change and solutions!  Together we will experience the journey of healing, wellness, and balance by learning new coping skills, generating ideas, overcoming challenges, and writing a new ending to your story.  My goal is to help you utilize the strength that you already possess in order to make the changes that you desire.

While I do not have a magic wand to make things perfect, I know that I will give it my all in helping you to rediscover the things in life that bring fulfillment, happiness, and satisfaction.  Together we can make your wellness, self-care, and relationships a priority again!

About me.

After speaking to me for five minutes, you will quickly discover that I am a Southern girl because I just cannot seem to hide that accent!

I approach every situation with a degree of curiosity and optimism. I enjoy therapy, as it allows me to connect with and meet people of all cultures.  This career has truly been my passion and I enjoy doing it each day.  I have worked in the field of counseling and therapy for approximately 17 years.  My career began working with adolescents and families who were involved with the Courts.  I then spent several years providing therapy to adults experiencing substance use, relationship issues, anger management, and overall life challenges. We all have times when we have not made our personal wellness a priority and I am here to change that!

Building relationships so that I can assist you with your journey is most important to me!  I want you to feel comfortable and allowing me to be a part of your journey is my honor.  There are times when I will challenge you, encourage you to think outside of the box, ask you to step outside of your comfort zone, and cheer you on when you have milestones.  This is all a part of the process and the journey to a new way of thinking, seeing, and doing.

Married for 22 years, I enjoy reading, crafting, and being a wife!  I am a cupcake connoisseur who enjoys traveling.  I look forward to joining you in the new opportunities you will explore and experience during our journey together.
